Michael Bewley has over 20-years combined experience as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach and sports nutritionist. Bewley has helped thousands of high school, college, professional and Olympic athletes reach their health and performance goals.

Following a six-year term as the sports nutritionist and strength and conditioning coach for University of Dayton’s men’s and women’s basketball teams, Bewley joined Georgia Tech’s staff as strength and conditioning coach for men’s basketball and men’s tennis in June of 2011.

Bewley’s duties include the design and implementation of athletic performance programs, supervising team and individual training sessions and testing strength, power, and conditioning of athletes.

Bewley also served as the strength and conditioning coach to the Flyers men’s and women’s golf programs. Prior to Dayton, Bewley served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Georgia Southern from 2002-05. Bewley developed and implemented conditioning programs for basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball, and assisted with the Eagles’ 11 other sporting programs.

In May 2004, Bewley founded the sports nutrition company ONS Performance. In accordance with NCAA Bylaw 15.6.2.2 for nutritional supplements, Bewley has developed a number of collegiate compliant nutritional products for the company, most notably the performance and recovery shake Critical Reload. Bewley created ONS Performance to offer athletes and coaches safe, reliable and effective ways to optimize health and performance through proper nutrition, nutritional supplements, training and exercise.

Bewley graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998 with a major in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. He then moved to the University of Nevada in Reno, where he was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach and sports nutritionist. He earned his Master’s in Education Leadership with an emphasis in Sports Administration from Nevada in 2002.

The native of Louisville, Kentucky, is certified as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Sports Performance Nutritionist through International Sports Science Association (ISSA), as well as a USA Weight Lifting Level I Olympic Club Coach.
